Wireless network MIDI-gateway app working with Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer interface, running on iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

In early 2010, Line 6 announced a hardware-MIDI-interface for iOS-devices.  As soon as this gadget was available I got one and I registered for their developer-program.

Since I have been busy with too many other projects in the meantime, I had not started on this project for quite a while, but it should be finished soon and thus available on the App-Store in the not-too-distant future.

If you already own a Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer, the app will turn your iPod Touch, your iPhone or even your iPad into a wireless network-MIDI-gateway, compatible with every OS X based Apple computer (and via my Windows rtpMIDI-driver also with each Windows-PC).  Since all the configuration is using Bonjour, operation will be plug & play.  You can use this app to connect your OS X or Windows based DAW-software wirelessly with any kind of MIDI-enabled equipment (like your stage-piano, synthesizer…)

You can even use two iOS devices with a MIDI-Mobilizer interface connected to both as a wireless MIDI-bridge without the need of any computer in between.
